Samsung advertises its fourth generation foldable Galaxy Fold as being 'unbreakable', at least in the US. Naturally, this piqued the interest of JerryRigEverything, who sought to disprove Samsung's claim. In an almost ten-minute video, Zack Nelson throws everything at the Galaxy Z Fold4, arguably more so than conventional candybar smartphones like the Google Pixel 6a or OnePlus 10T faced.

While Samsung claims that the Galaxy Z Fold4 offers a high water resistance rating, it decides against testing the device's dust resistance. Hence, the Galaxy Z Fold4 is unchanged from its predecessor, a fact that Nelson frequently refers to in his video. Correspondingly, Nelson tests the device's dust resistance in an extreme way by pouring dirt all over its foldable display. Surprisingly, the screen suffers no issues following the abuse, other than gathering the magnetic elements above its many internal magnets.

Additionally, the durability tester spreads the same dirt across the device's spine in an attempt to damage its hinge. Like the display, the hinge remains unaffected, with the Galaxy Z Fold4 preventing any from compromising the many small gears that allow its foldable display to open and closer freely. Moreover, the Galaxy Z Fold4 barely breaks a sweat in the infamous bend test, unlike the OnePlus 10T. Overall, Samsung's latest foldable cuts a fine figure and appears to be a more durable smartphone than most.
